The MASCM provides students with both the technical knowledge and skills in the design, planning, maintenance, and performance monitoring of supply chain and the generic skills in leadership, people development, critical thinking, problem solving, and innovation. Electives will further broaden and deepen these theoretical and technical knowledge and skills. Graduates of the MASCM are expected to work in roles requiring low to minimum levels of supervision or guidance, depending on the relevant technical and professional competence areas.
Graduates of the MASCM should be able to:
- Articulate cogently a broad and deep body of knowledge relating to supply chain management and integrate a range of associated techniques and research methods using innovative and critical thinking
- Synthesise, evaluate, and apply supply chain management concepts, principles, and techniques to current and emerging issues, demonstrating an understanding of their context and impact on professional practice
- Systematically ascertain implications, risks, and opportunities from quantitative and qualitative supply chain data to validate claims and justify conclusions and recommendations in organisational settings
- Communicate professionally and effectively with peers and non-specialist audiences to implement systems and technology and deliver customer-focused services and experiences
- Plan projects and initiatives as an adaptable, accountable, and inclusive supply chain management professional taking into account stakeholder requirements and community expectations.
