Accreditation

CILT recognises and accredits training providers and education institutions that deliver qualifications and programs aligned with our internationally respected standards. This prestigious accreditation signals quality and trust—essential for professionals seeking industry recognition and for organisations aiming to deliver courses that reflect best practice in logistics, transport, and supply chain management.

Start your journey toward accreditation with CILT International

To succeed, your organisation simply needs to showcase the capability and expertise to deliver high-quality, globally recognised CILT International qualifications.

What We Look for in Providers

  • Show sufficient projected student numbers and a sustainable business model.
  • Have appropriate facilities for course delivery.
  • Employ qualified staff with relevant experience (MILT/CMILT preferred; CMILT ideal for Course Leader).
  • Implement clear assessment and quality assurance processes.
  • Pass a financial viability check for accreditation and registration costs.
  • Engage with the local CILT Branch or Territorial Organisation (where applicable).
  • Be open to collaboration with CILT International and local partners on course development and promotion.

CILT International’s accreditation policy ensures the highest quality by approving providers based on specific locations and the dedicated team delivering the program—blanket approvals across multiple centres are not granted. Each new country of operation requires a separate application, as approval in one location does not guarantee automatic approval elsewhere. We take into account local market conditions, existing providers, and quality assurance standards in every decision.

Accreditation Costs and Site Visit

To maintain the integrity of our process, a non-refundable administration fee applies at Stage 6/7 of the application review, regardless of the outcome. A site visit by CILT International is a required part of the accreditation process. This visit cannot be replaced by attendance at other CILT events or conferences.

  • Costs for travel and accommodation are the responsibility of the applying provider. A detailed quote will be provided in advance should this be necessary.
  • In many cases, we work with local CILT organisations to help coordinate multiple visits, minimising costs.
  • While local CILT bodies may offer input, only CILT International has the authority to grant official approval.
  • In countries with a Territorial Organisation, they will manage the assessment process locally, but under the global standards set by CILT International.

Ongoing Quality Assurance

  • All accredited providers are subject to re-accreditation every three years to ensure standards remain high.
