Course Outline

The Bachelor of Business ( Logistics and Supply Chain Management) is designed to develop the professional management competencies of current and future leaders in strategic logistics and supply chain management who seek to enhance their career prospects in business and government organisations, locally, nationally and internationally.

Course Objectives

As a student you will develop capabilities in the management of the creation and implementation of efficient, effective, and sustainable strategies over the logistics lifecycle and the entire supply chain (or supply network) in diverse and complex work environments. Core studies include the principles and practices of logistics and supply chain management, strategic supply chain management, and supply chain sustainability.

Learning Outcomes

The Bachelor of Business (Logistics and Supply Chain Management) has been designed to develop the following generic graduate capabilities:

  • Knowledge-specific capabilities;
  • The ability to contextualise and apply these knowledge capabilities in different situations is emphasised;
  • Problem-solving capabilities;
  • Generic business and management skills;
  • Research capabilities;
  • Communication and interpersonal capabilities; and
  • Socially aware and responsible practice capabilities.

Duration

One and half years (3 semesters) full-time or equivalent by part-time study.

Pre-Requisites

Students who have successfully completed a bachelor degree in logistics and supply chain, transport, business management, engineering and science, economics, planning or geography are encouraged to apply. All non-Australian residents and overseas full-fee paying students must provide evidence of one of the following: •ELTS – 6.5+ (no band below 6.0) •TOEFL Paper based – 580+ (TWE 4.5+) •TOEFL Computer based – 237+ (TWE 4.5+) •RMIT English Worldwide (REW) – Advanced Level 2.
