Module 3 – Integrating Demand and Supply forms a critical requirement towards achieving the TLI50415 Diploma of Logistics which covers key elements of logistics, transport and warehousing, purchasing and inventory and supply chain planning.
Course Objectives
Module 3 – Integrating Demand and Supply covers external relationships, inventory management, planning, scheduling and procurement.
The units noted below cover areas within Purchasing and Inventory that focus on the purchasing processes in an
organisation and the importance of inventory management to control costs and customer service levels. Specifically Module 3
will enable students to:
• Understand the importance of developing and qualifying suppliers
• Evaluate suppliers
• Manage the purchasing process and the different purchasing systems
• Determine inventory levels and apply the principles of inventory management
• Manage and provide quality customer service
• Carry out warehousing procedures
Each unit included in this module contains assignments and assessment activities, each with specific instructions.
